Abstract

The paper proposes a reflection on the educational relationship, on the “pathic” relationship between teacher and student, and encounter the “the wise without ideas” by François Jullien (1998) and the “blessed table” of Dante in the Convivio. The epistemic proposal is of a “pedagogy of feeling” because each living creature (Dewey, 1934) is grasped through its openness to the world, in the reciprocity of the gesture of touching/penetrating and therefore nourishing/growing, to recognize the need of education – sentimental education Flaubert would say – and to bring out educational practices.
