Abstract

The essay discusses about "hope" and "resilience"  in the complexity sciences horizon. It studies the dialectic vulnerability / invulnerability in a systemic perspective, crossing it with pedagogical questions concerning the themes of identity, (re) sense-making, adulthood.

If pain is a perturbation that forces the system to death / end of the order, the " systemic creativity " response is a resilient response. So, resilience is not resistence to breakage but  un-learning competence. In breakdown, the system can experience the vulnerability as force: paradox that requires the irreducible coexistence between perturbation and morphogenesis, pain and beauty, rupture and creation.
