Is it possible, in a historical phase carachterized by the predominance of neoliberal logic, to discover a generative and transformative link between pedagogy, economics and education? It is possible to mediate between the risks of an economy oriented towards individualism, narcissism, personal profit and the possibilities of another economy, humanist and supportive, which recovers the etymological value of the oikos, a warm image of managing a common good, sharing and "being together for"? The commitment, also pedagogical, is to re-establish the substantial link between economy and society, claiming a subject-person-centered approach to development that is combined with both outdated and emerging issues such as happiness, well-being, hope and the community. All this in the belief that it is possible to  modify families, schools, universities, businesses, organizations into "yards of hope" to build other ways of uunderstanding economy and progress, to tackle, in the words of Pope Bergoglio , the "culture of waste", to give voice and dignity to those who do not have it, to propose new personal and community lifestyles.
