For an eco-feminist education. Pluralism of differences and education for peace
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the vast field of feminist studies, there are numerous possible educational declinations of these gender perspectives, yet they are still little investigated by pedagogical research, especially in relation to the demands for pacifism and pluralism promoted by ecofeminism. The essay begins by investigating the peculiarities of ecofeminism and conducts deconstructive work to unravel the implicit devices underlying a web of relations of domination that justify oppression and that also sanction domination over nature. This unravelling work makes it possible to identify connections between environmental degradation, sexism and other forms of social oppression that can be deconstructed in schools. The goal of the discussion is the definition of perspectives and related educational paths of ecopedagogical and ecodidactic inspiration; these are aimed at promoting educational and didactic models of circular representation, solidarity, care and peace, and, in the Deweyan sense, educational experiences capable of embracing instances of social equity and gender justice.
