Abstract

The paper aims to present the results of the experimentation of a training module focusing on 'sexuality and disability' and delivered to 20 secondary school teachers in Rome. The aim was to raise teachers' awareness of the topic and to revive the pedagogical debate on sex education in Italy. The article, in this vein, presents the structure of the module and examines, through the analysis of two focus groups organised at the end of the training itself, the opinions accrued by the teachers who, from the ICF perspective, are crucial in creating a classroom context facilitating the participation of all and the construction of an inclusive culture. This cannot disregard the right of every person to express and experience sexuality as a central element of their identity and existence. the school must bring corporeity back to the centre of the educational process, not relegating it to physical education alone.
