Education of the landscape as a common good. the analysis of the apulian school project “from the tasting to the landscape”

Abstract

The aim of this article is to highlight the connections between sensorial-emotional contact and education to the landscape as a common good. The focus is centered upon the Apulian landscape with an inevitable referral to olive orchards which are spread throughout the region. The analysis regards a project which was carried out in five Apulian schools during year 2016/2017 entitled “Dall’assaggio al paesaggio” (From the tasting to the landscape). The representations that the children gave of the olive tree and the olive orchards in the landscape, their experience, the imagination built throughout the project emphasizing the emotional aspects, will be the object of the analysis.
