Abstract

Starting from the deep connections that occur between situations of environmental injustice, social and economic deprivation and lack of adequate governance of the Commons, this paper focuses on the case of the city of Taranto. This bond is especially felt by teachers. In a context like this, regain the sense of educational responsibility takes a true value only if there is a full recovery of the awareness of the role, even political, that teachers have. Education thus becomes a cause for hope.
