Main Article Content

Isabella Pescarmona

Abstract

The article presents culture as a fundamental right for enacting active citizenship and promoting an equal dialogue in a democratic society. By vindicating “the right to voicing” and the co-construction of knowledge as means and condition of living together, culture is presented as “a pedagogical good” that contributes to create the human heritage everybody is responsible for. The chapters progressively develop this issue by examining topics such as equal access to culture, active participation and cooperation.
