Abstract

The article deals with the issue of dominant narratives on migration, with regard to several authors of different disciplinary fields. These narratives are called toxic because, without taking into account the real data, propose an incorrect representation aimed at achieving easy electoral consents. Subsequently the author proposes dialogue as a tool for the construction of coexistence and focuses on the indispensable role of education declined in an intercultural perspective. An education that assigns a central role to the educational institution but that must necessarily go beyond the school.
