Abstract

The essay aims to describe the epistemological foundations and methodological aspects that underlie the activity that has been built through the co-planning of educational and didactic paths between school, university and territory. The aim is to elaborate, through Individual, Community and Public Memories (particularly of the 20th century), paths aimed at democracy and inclusive processes, in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 92 of 2019 that introduced in all Italian schools the transversal teaching of Civic Education. The co-design involves different actors, first and foremost the teachers, and privileges the historical-educational approach in order to educate citizenship and provide teachers with useful tools for the training of citizens (starting with their students) in compliance with the principles of equality and respect for diversity enshrined in the Constitution of the Italian Republic.
