Abstract

The history of care of people with mental distress reveals that those people has been regularly excluded from the right of living a “good life” and so from the possibility to share the common good. Which is the “good” that a community deserves, when taking care for people with mental illness, not only guaranteeing their rights, but also supporting them? The paper will offer a reflection about those questions, considering the educational work as a strategy to promote community mental health.
