Educating for peace and citizenship. Considerations and perspectives starting from the analysis of the "Vivir bien" paradigm
Main Article Content
Abstract
In hoping for the resolution of problems, it is basic to reaffirm the role of the places of education and training in building a peaceful culture and pedagogy. However, one of the main threats to the quality of life and human development depends on the growing spiral of poverty, inequality, violence and environmental degradation, which reduce the possibilities of a future especially for the very last. This is why the essay, starting from the analysis of the “Vivir bien” paradigm, contained in the “Manifiesto de la Isla del Sol”, aims to reflect on issues such as sharing, solidarity, equality, respect for differences, reciprocity, the popular re-appropriation of collective goods, as a universal process of social alternative. This process has the goal to promote a sustainability necessary to build an integral human development, free from prevaricating reasons, but which lead to respect for others and spread of a culture of solidarity and of peace.
